Rifle Paper Co Inspired

Hi ladies! I've been looking for inspiration everywhere and last night I found this beautiful floral picture on Pinterest that looked like something Lindsey of Wondrously Polished would do. I think when it comes to florals, she might just be my biggest inspiration / most favorite. So when I saw the picture I knew I had to paint it on my nails. It wasn't until I posted the picture and somebody commented on it that I found out that it was actually a Rifle Paper Co. journal and that there's a bunch of other floral print journals. That only means one thing - more inspiration! Haha. I can't wait to paint them on my nails!

This was so much fun to do, even though it did take me a while to finish these. I love the fact that because they're 'wild' flowers, it doesn't exactly have to be perfect. Then again, that probably goes with a lot of floral manis. And because I'm totally in love with the mattified (Is that even a word?) floral nails, I had to do the same with these. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these nails as much as I enjoyed making them. I'm so excited to paint more florals!

Minimalist Disney Princess

Good morning lovelies! Yesterday I was looking online to find some nail art inspiration, and I saw these minimalist Disney posters and I wanted to give them a try! I've done Mickey & Friends before and they weren't so great as I was barely starting to get into nail art again at that time and I didn't have Seche Vite (I think it really helps put the look together and finish the artwork). But if you wish to see it, you can find the picture here. Anyways, I wanted to give the princess nails a shot so here they are!

Fourth of July!

Hi there my loves! Today I'm sharing with you the nails I did for 4th of July. I initially planned to do a non-traditional design. I wanted a white base with blue and red florals but when I started painting, it didn't look anything like what I had in mind and I didn't know what else to do but the typical American flag nails. I think it still looked pretty ok though. I really should've used striping tape to get the stripes perfectly, but it was already late and I was too lazy and tired to deal with the tape. So here it is! Enjoy!

In Honor of the Original Pacific Blue

Hi Lovelies! In case you didn't know, Sally Hansen changed the formula on their Xtreme Wear polishes and so people have started stocking up on their fave polishes. The most popular one that people have been talking about is the Pacific Blue. I've never owned it, at least not until last weekend (while I was on vacation). I'm so glad that I got my hands on this polish because it's just so amazing! I love the shade of blue and the formula is just perfect! I hope I find more of these, or that SH changes the formula to the old one.

So today I have for you the very first mani I've done with this bottle. I hope you like them!

Weekend Getaway!

I haven't had a weekend getaway in who knows how long, so naturally I was extremely excited to finally go on vacation! This week, my most awaited striping tape finally came in and I was beyond excited! Because of the never-ending inspiration I get from Instagram, I didn't know what design to start with. I was sure I didn't want to just use the tape like a striper, so I had to do something I've never done before. I mean, I know this design isn't all that new and it's not something you've never seen before. But I am in love with how it came out and I love the color combination that I chose. I can't be any happier! It's just a little sad that the corners chipped after a whole day of swimming. But it's ok. I still loved it. And I did get a few compliments on them, so that's always a good thing.

Wildflowers on a Gold Field

Hi there my loves! I've been doing my nails a lot lately because I'm never satisfied with them so just take pictures of them and end up changing them after 5 minutes. Such a waste of polish, time, and effort, I know. But sometimes I just can't stand to look at them. So sad. LOL. I do like how this mani came out in pictures though. I think I like it better than in person! Haha, well I hope you like this more than I did!

Simplicity is Elegance

Good evening lovelies! I hope you had a nice day today, as mine was so-so. I tried to do the DIY peel off base coat with school glue and water but it didm't turn out the way I wanted it to be. I think I added too much water, so I have to try again. Whattafail ): Anyways, I finally found time to  put designs on my nails but they're not all that creative. I was feeling meh, and because my base color seemed so elegant to me, I decided to just use gold to make it 'pop' a bit. I tried to record a tutorial, but I still need to get used to recording and keep my hand out of the shot. It's hard for me :/ but I'm trying! Haha I hope you like them, and now on to the pictures....

Spring Into Pastel

Hi there! I tried to remake mrcandiipants' fern design on my ring and middle fingers but it just wasn't working out so I had to think of something else. I've always been a fan of lavender and mint grind or any sort of mellow light shaded green, and when choosing a color to go along with my base color, I figured why not give it a try. I think I could've done better with the alternating chevron design, but I think this is good for a first try.

I have this habit of almost always topping off a gradient design with glitter top coat because it's so simple, and yet makes the gradient pop. I hope you like it!
